Origin & Story

United States, 1940s

The Greyhound's origins trace to a 1945 Harper's Magazine article that described it being served at Greyhound bus terminals across the country, making it one of the few cocktails named after a transportation company. Its simplicity — just vodka (or gin) and grapefruit — made it a staple of American bars through the postwar era.
