Origin & Story
India, traditional (iced adaptation)
Masala chai — black tea simmered with spices and milk — has been the drink of Indian street stalls and kitchens for generations. The iced version was inevitable once global coffee-shop culture caught up with the flavor. Adding a splash of soda water at the end is a modern bartender's touch that lightens the drink and emphasizes the spice aromatics.
