Origin & Story
San Francisco, 2003
Bartender Jon Santer created the Revolver at Bourbon & Branch in San Francisco in 2003. Taking the Old Fashioned as its DNA, he added coffee liqueur for a mocha sweetness and used an orange-bitters rinse to lift and brighten the richness, producing one of the most influential modern-era whiskey cocktails to emerge from the craft cocktail revival.
