Ingredients
- 1.5 oz bourbon whiskey
- 1 oz Campari
- 1 oz sweet vermouth
- Orange peel, to garnish
Instructions
- 1Add whiskey, Campari, and vermouth to a mixing glass with ice.
- 2Stir until well chilled.
- 3Strain into a rocks glass over ice and garnish with an orange peel.
Origin & Story
Paris, 1920s
First printed in a 1927 cocktail book, it's credited to Erskine Gwynne, an American writer living in Paris who ran a magazine called The Boulevardier — essentially a whiskey-based twist on the Negroni.
