Origin & Story

United States/Southeast Asia fusion bars, 1990s–2000s

The lychee martini emerged from the wave of Asian-inflected cocktails in American and European bars during the late 1990s, as bartenders discovered that lychee's rose-like fragrance paired naturally with the neutrality of vodka. It became a fixture of upscale pan-Asian restaurants and cocktail lounges worldwide.
