Ingredients

  • 1 oz gin
  • 1 oz Campari
  • 1 oz sweet vermouth
  • Orange peel, to garnish

Instructions

  1. 1Add gin, Campari, and sweet vermouth to a mixing glass with ice.
  2. 2Stir until well chilled.
  3. 3Strain into a rocks glass over fresh ice and garnish with an orange peel.

As the story goes, Count Camillo Negroni asked a Florence bartender to strengthen his usual Americano by swapping soda water for gin, creating a stiffer, more bitter aperitif that took his name.
