Ingredients

  • 2 oz gin
  • 0.75 oz fresh lime juice
  • 0.5 oz simple syrup
  • Lime wheel, to garnish

Instructions

  1. 1Add gin, lime juice, and simple syrup to a shaker with ice.

  3. 3Strain into a chilled coupe and garnish with a lime wheel.

Often linked to naval surgeon Sir Thomas Gimlette, who allegedly added gin to the lime cordial sailors drank to prevent scurvy, making the medicine more palatable — though the exact origin is debated.
