Pisco Sour

Ingredients

  • 2 oz pisco
  • 1 oz fresh lime juice
  • 0.75 oz simple syrup
  • 1 egg white
  • 3 dashes Angostura bitters

Instructions

  1. 1Dry shake pisco, lime juice, simple syrup, and egg white without ice to emulsify.
  2. 2Add ice and shake again until well chilled.
  3. 3Strain into a chilled coupe and dot bitters on the foam.

Origin & Story

Lima, Peru, 1920s

American bartender Victor Vaughen Morris created it at his Lima bar in the 1920s, and it's since become the national drink of both Peru and Chile.
