Origin & Story

New York City, 1894

Created at the Waldorf-Astoria Hotel to mark the opening of an operetta called Rob Roy, this Scotch-based cousin of the Manhattan swaps rye whiskey for Scotch while keeping the vermouth-and-bitters structure.
