Origin & Story
The Mexican Firing Squad was invented at the Bar La Cucaracha in Mexico City in the 1930s and later published by Charles H. Baker Jr. in his 1939 travel-cocktail memoir The Gentleman's Companion. Baker documented it with characteristic enthusiasm, noting that it was one of the most refreshing drinks he encountered on his travels through Central America.
