Origin & Story
Tamarind is one of the defining flavors of Mexican street food and aguas frescas, where it's paired with lime and chili in countless preparations. Bartenders began incorporating tamarind paste and candy into margarita variations in the late 1990s, creating a cocktail that bridges the flavors of traditional Mexican street snacks and bar culture.
