Origin & Story
As tequila grew in popularity across the United States during the 1960s and 1970s, bartenders began applying classic cocktail templates to the spirit. The Collins format proved a natural fit — tequila's natural citrus and vegetal notes harmonize beautifully with fresh lemon and the effervescence of soda water, creating one of the most versatile tequila highballs.
